He is quieter than some of the boys at LaPush, being more reserved, but he has a playfulness about him, as well as a good sense of humour, which is most often seen when among his closest friends, Jacob Black and Quil Ateara. Hobbies: Riding and fixing up dirt bikes Personal History: Rumour has it that Embry was named by his mother, Mariah, after a soap opera star, but it's something he doesn't care to discuss, and both he and best friend Quil Ateara would rather fight than discuss their names with outsiders. Embry's mother was not of the tribe originally, and after she had Embry she passed away, leaving the child an orphan as no one knows who his father is, although speculation runs rife - and he is most probably the half brother of Quil Ateara, Jacob Black, or Sam Uley. After Mariah's death, he was taken in by the Atearas, who live very near to the Blacks, and as a result all three boys grew up as close friends and constant companions, especially Quil and Embry. Embry is of a mechanical nature and loves to work on dirt bikes. He also enjoys surfing and camping and hiking.
